Change your life in 8 weeks

It’s been a rock & roll summer. We could go on about the footy, Olympics, red/amber/green travel lists, vaccinations and more, but we’re not going to. Both Sanj and I are going to do what Art of Brill does best – keep it bloomin’ simple and tell you a little story.

For this we need to take you back in time, into the dim and distant past. Remember March 2020 and Lockdown 1? For most of the Art of Brill team ‘Zoom’ was still a noise that cars made, ‘teams’ were groups of people we presented to in person and ‘live streaming’ was what your nose did when you had a cold. For our training team, as for so many other people across so many sectors, the world had stopped spinning. Face-to-face training had come to a standstill, diaries were empty, and we were stumped….

The Dr of Happiness convened a Zoom meeting and once we’d overcome the newness of it and learnt to mute and unmute, we started to discuss how we could go ‘virtual’. We already did the best face-to-face training on the planet but we needed to make that quantum leap to virtual.

There was a lot of head-scratching. A collective muteness descended on our virtual meeting. Then Sanj (the young one) piped up with an idea he’d been thinking about for a while. ‘Why don’t we work together to create an online community of like-minded folks across the world and give them the tools and tips that will help them be that brilliant and best version of themselves more often. We could run it over a number of weeks and then leave the community we’ve created to support each other. We could do it on Facebook and stream live across the globe’.

There was silence but Sanj’s enthusiasm had landed. Some of the older heads were nodding. Most of us were new to ‘virtual’ and none of us had streamed to Facebook. For me, it was a genius idea and, instinctively, I loved it. It was just what the world needed in Pandemic times.

But Andy was sceptical. The company motto is ‘If we can’t do it brilliantly, we won’t do it at all’. I think he has it tattooed somewhere private? ‘Sanj, we deliver the best training in the world mate. If we do something like this it has to be flipping awesome.’ (and he didn’t say flipping….) ‘It’s got to be the world’s best online offering. Flesh it out a bit and we can have another chat.’

I messaged Sanj straight after the meet, we came up with a plan, presented it back to Andy and the Wellbeing Workout was born.

Three Wellbeing Workouts later, we have learned so much. We’ve learned how much we love delivering online. We’ve learned how much we love building relationships online. We’ve loved seeing people grow and transform over an extended period of time. We’ve loved the voice it gives introverts. We’ve loved the brilliant buddies who have gone above and beyond. We’ve loved working with the best bunch of trainers you could ever hope to meet. Most of all, we’ve loved that it’s changed so many lives.

Being able to support others during this pandemic is something that every member of Art of Brill is passionate about. Yet somehow, we still feel like this is only the beginning. We’ve made friends across the world during this and the best part is seeing friendships between others who have met during the workout blossom. The only thing left that Sanj is desperate to see is a wedding between two participants.

So with our hands on our hearts, we are delighted you took the time to read this blog so we will keep the salesy bit short and sweet. If you fancy taking your happiness and wellbeing to the next level, Wellbeing Workout 4 is starting on Monday 20th September. We are a bit biased, but we think it’s the best way to kick start your personal wellbeing revolution and a bargain at £138 for 8 weeks.  You even get one of our world famous Happy t-shirts! Though your journey will be a personal one, Sanj and I, along with 8 other Art of Brill trainers, some brilliant buddies from Workout 3 and a cohort of like-minded people will be there to support you on your journey if/when you need it.
