Caroline’s Story

Caroline stumbled across Art of Brilliance several years ago, when she won a ticket to an event Andy Cope was hosting. It was the beginning of a joy-filled journey of learning to look more on the bright side, become a 2%er and strive to look for the good stuff.

She has loved our books, talks and words of wisdom ever since. Inspired by Andy and the Art of Brilliance ethos.

During a really tough time in my life, she began baking biscuits. Caroline and her husband were going through our second cycle of fertility treatment and she was feeling really lost and alone.

She had a couple of friends she’d made online who were going through the same challenge and wanted to send them something to let them know she was thinking about them. Caroline felt that flowers or a card didn’t feel quite right, so she baked some biscuits and stamped little messages of hope onto them and sent them through the post.
Caroline commented about this time:

“It sparked an idea…. what if I could find a way to make our situation into something positive and purposeful. What if I could use my baking skills and creativity to help people make each other smile and have a heartfelt way to reach out to each other, both in sad times, but also to celebrate happy occasions too.”

Caroline highlights why she does what she does:

“The true joy of what I do is in the biscuits I send out to give someone a bit of edible inspiration, send to make them smile.”

Art of Brilliance and The Kitsch Hen share a belief that if kindness is at the heart of everything you do, you won’t go far wrong in life.

And the art of Brilliance is delighted to be able to work with Caroline to help spread messages of kindness in a deliciously edible way!
