AI vs HI: Why Human Intelligence Still Wins
AI is having a moment. Actually… it’s having everyone’s moment.
It writes, creates, predicts, automates and optimises. It’s fast, efficient and occasionally a bit scary. So yes - this session will show you what AI can do.
(Carl’s the tech brain. He’s got that covered.)
But here’s the twist. This isn’t just a talk about artificial intelligence, it’s a talk about human brilliance.
(Andy’s the happiness guy. He’s got that covered.)
The Big Idea
While the world upgrades its technology… most people are still running on outdated psychology.
We’ve got smarter tools than ever, but too many people are exhausted, distracted and stuck in busywork. We've been told for decades how "technology can save us time!" - yet here we are, busier than we've ever been. So as we lean more and more into a world of tech, we need to stop and remember who's in charge.
So yes, embrace AI. Absolutely. But remember this:
AI can analyse data… but it can’t read the room.
AI can mimic emotion… but it can’t feel it.
AI can write the message… but it doesn’t know if it should be sent.
AI can spot patterns… but it can’t notice when someone’s struggling.
AI can simulate empathy… but it can’t sit with someone who needs it.
AI can summarise a meeting… but it didn’t notice the tension in it.
AI can do a lot of things, but it can’t be you. And that’s the whole point.
That’s your edge.
Because when everyone has access to AI, the real advantage isn’t artificial... It’s human.
What This Session Does
Part AI masterclass. Part wake-up call. Part shot of energy.
AI vs HI cuts through the hype and puts AI in its place - as a brilliant tool, not the boss.
It’s about thinking smarter, showing up better and remembering that your best work happens when you bring… well, you.
The truth is simple. AI will keep getting better, the question is, will you?
You’ll leave with:
-
A clear, no-nonsense understanding of what AI can actually do
-
The confidence to use AI without losing your edge
-
Simple ways to think sharper and work smarter - giving you back TIME, not giving you MORE work
-
A mindset that turns change into opportunity (instead of stress)
-
Practical ideas to boost energy, optimism and performance
-
A reminder that brilliant people + brilliant tech = world class
About the speakers
Carl Bembridge is a digital consultant who helps organisations solve real problems using AI. A self-confessed tech nerd, he’s done it all - from coding and web design to SEO and digital strategy - and is now fully immersed in tools like Claude, ChatGPT and beyond. For Carl, AI isn’t the future - it’s here, now, and it’s a must-have... if used well.
Dr Andy Cope can’t code. He’s never built a website and still isn’t entirely sure what SEO stands for. What he has done is spend the last two decades studying positive psychology and human flourishing.
For Andy, AI is also a must-have. But to maximise the benefit, you also need an organisational culture that’s buzzing. Andy is a wellbeing expert, best-selling author and international keynote speaker, on a mission to remind people just how brilliant they already are.
