Get Engaged

How to get your staff counting down their weekend, wishing it was Monday

The most optimistic surveys suggest that only 18% of employees are actively engaged. The rest are a mix of ‘meh’ and ‘actively disengaged’, the clock-watchers who come alive on Friday.

It’s beyond obvious that employee engagement is the key to organisational success. ‘Get Engaged’ gives you the what, why and how of creating a flourishing culture.

Creating a Buzz

Modern organisations have been squeezed so there’s no slack in the system. The result is a full-on workload and an environment where people are infected with ‘busyness’: a sense of careering through the day in a vain attempt to tick things off a never ending ‘to-do’ list.

This workshop dares to ask a better question: Rather than focusing on your ‘to-do’ list, what if you re-focused on your ‘to-be’ list? Who are you being while you’re at work?

Drawing on the key themes from ‘The Art of Being Brilliant’, this workshop takes you to the next level. The premise is simple – engaged employees are raving fans of your business, want it to be successful and will do their best to make it so. They will also be better able to look after their own well-being and raise the emotional tone of those around them.

What’s more, this emotional ripple effect is felt way beyond work.

The Approach

  • Explore the science behind employee engagement and why it matters in a complex and fast-changing world
  • Learn to be more effective at engaging and mobilising your people and teams
  • Understand how engaged you are at work and what you might achieve armed with that knowledge
  • Examine specific case studies of organisations going the extra mile to engage their staff and build a true sense of community
