Will the real NHS please Rise and SHINE

Think of a doctor. Then think again. I’m that second one.

I’ve spent the last two decades researching positivity and human flourishing. My PhD flipped traditional psychology on its head. Instead of looking at illness, I threw myself into wellness. My somewhat counter-intuitive starter question was this:

Who are the people who aren’t ill?

We can all think of a handful of people who have something extra (more energy, enthusiasm, positivity, happiness, ‘aliveness’) and this small percentage of people have been ignored by the medical profession on the grounds of them ‘not being ill’. I sought out the flourishing few and sought the answers to 3 simple questions:

  1. Who the heck are they?
  2. What are they doing that allows them to flourish?
  3. What can we learn from them that we might apply to ourselves, so we might come alive too?

Exhaustion, burnout, moral injury… the truth is that there are a lot of staff running on empty in the health and social care sector. Cutting to the chase, there’s never been a more appropriate time to learn these simple lessons.

With the pandemic dust still settling, we’ve created a suite of workshops and webinars that will provide an uplift for weary superheroes. Think of it like personal and team TLC – an opportunity to dust yourself down, re-energise and reflect on how to be your best self, against the odds.

NHS Trusts and social care providers appreciate our honest, no-nonsense approach. We believe in breathing life into your people and, as such, training should be simple, doable and great fun. Our core themes of positive psychology, wellbeing employee engagement and human flourishing are perfectly aligned with compassionate leadership.

We figure this; if you’re gonna rise, you may as well SHINE!

We’d love to chat through your options.
