LIFE: one careful owner

With attention spans shrinking, we’re giving you something super short. More of a thought than a blog…

Chances are that, at some point, you will have rented a car. Most likely, this will have been on holiday. So, here’s a question for you: before you returned the car to the airport, did you wash it?

Why on earth not?

Because it’s not yours, that’s why. To be truthful, you probably didn’t treat it very well either. Thrashed it, scratched it, stalled it.

Bringing the concept to your team – are your co-workers ‘renting’ or ‘owning’? Organizations that achieve ownership will be rewarded with genuine and loving care.

Bringing the concept to that body of yours – stop thrashing the hell out of it! Look after it. Feed it good quality ingredients. Allow it some good quality sleep. Hydrate it. And don’t leave it lying around in the sun for too long.

Bringing the concept to your MIND… those thoughts of yours – feed yourself some positive ones. Nurture them with gratitude. Slow them right down. Rose tint them with ‘realistic optimism’.

Dido sang that life is for rent. She’s half right. Life comes with a 4,000 week rental agreement (small print and terms and conditions apply).

But while you’re here, you may as well own it.
